Swimwear for US brands.
Planned back from summer.

Bikini, one-piece and tankini programmes on AquaForm™ 220 for US labels. Liners, cups, hardware and UPF claims are settled on the proto; FTC labels and hygienic liners are on the PPS.

For US swim brands — not a USA swimwear manufacturer. Every piece is cut and sewn in Dongguan, China, and labelled Made in China. What we bring to a US programme is a swim floor with written gates, a named chlorine-fast fabric and a calendar you can plan a summer drop against.

Terms on one screen

Swim terms — the calendar is the commercial term.

Swim runs slower than yoga: hardware, liners and cups add operations. Plan the PPS date first and the retail date follows.

Fabric
AquaForm™ 220 75% Nylon / 25% Lycra® · 220 g/m² · chlorine-fast face. UPF 50+ reports on request.
Incoterm

MOQ
150 pcs / style / colour A bikini set counts as two garment pieces unless the PO is a top or bottom alone.
Samples
US$50–100 / piece 7–9 working days. Sets billed as two pieces. Sample fees may be credited after the bulk production order is confirmed. Courier is not credited.
PPS
Before bulk Bulk fabric, liner, cups, hardware, US labels and hygienic liner.
Bulk
30–40 days after PPS Swim calendar. Custom print or dye adds ~15–20 days before cutting.
QC

Payment
30 / 70 30% after PPS · 70% after final inspection.

Every number above is a published ZIESHINE term — also on the Company Fact Sheet. We do not publish a bulk FOB unit price: garment FOB is quoted after fabric, construction, trims and quantity are confirmed.

Labels & packaging

What US swim buyers expect on the label and in the carton.

Swim adds three US-specific questions to the activewear label: the UPF claim, the care wording for chlorine and salt, and the hygienic liner retailers expect on bottoms.

Who owns it
Fibre content
AquaForm™ 220 reads 75% Nylon, 25% Spandex; lining composition listed separately if it differs (e.g. “Lining: 100% Polyester”).

Samples & PPS

Proto proves the design. PPS proves the production.

Swim samples fail on details that never show in a flat-lay: liner opacity when wet, strap recovery, hardware against chlorine. The proto and the PPS check them in that order.

  1. Brief — images, sketch, tech pack or a library link
  2. Fabric & hand named before colours multiply
  3. Proto sample — 7–9 working days, US$50–100 per garment piece
  4. Written fit notes — POMs, opacity, labels, trims
  5. PPS — size set, labels and pack-out on the real bulk fabric
  6. Bulk — inline 20/50/80% · final inspection · ship

MOQ

Minimums per colour — the same ladder for every market.

Swim MOQ is per style per colour, and a set is two pieces. Prints and custom-dyed colours bring the mill's MCQ in — that is where small swim brands get surprised.

150Standard MOQ — pcs per style per colour. Each colour carries its own 150.
From 100Selected library trial — selected library styles only, subject to fabric availability and production feasibility.
Below 100Subject to feasibility and a small-order surcharge (+15% scattered-cut & generation fees, confirmed in writing).
500–1300 m+Custom fabric per colour at the mill (MCQ). A separate gate from the garment MOQ.

Library swim colours keep you on the 150 / trial-100 ladder. A custom print or a custom dye on AquaForm™ is a mill order, typically 500–1300 m+ per colour, before any garment MOQ. Swim manufacturing desk →

The brief asked for six custom prints in the first season. We split it: library colours for the launch on the 150 ladder, one print tested as a mill sample for the second drop. The PPS carried US labels, hygienic liners and FNSKU stickers so the warehouse did not relabel.

US swim buyer FAQ

What US swim brands ask before they brief.

Are you a USA swimwear manufacturer?

No. We manufacture in Dongguan, China, for US swim brands, and garments are labelled Made in China. If your positioning needs Made in USA, a domestic cut-and-sew shop is the right partner.

When should a US brand brief for a summer drop?

Work back from the ship date: swim bulk is typically 30–40 days after PPS, plus transit. For a May retail drop, that usually means briefing in Q4 and signing the PPS by late January.

Can you put UPF 50+ on our labels?

Only with a test report for the finished fabric. AquaForm™ 220 has UPF 50+ reports available on request; a new print or colour may need its own test before the claim goes on the label.

Do you add hygienic liners?

Yes. Adhesive hygienic liners on bottoms and one-pieces are applied on our line and appear on the PPS.

Is a bikini set one piece or two for MOQ and samples?

Two garment pieces. Samples are billed per piece (US$50–100 each), and the MOQ applies per style per colour unless you order tops or bottoms alone.

FOB or DDP to the US?

FOB Shenzhen by default. DDP to your US address is available on request, quoted per shipment with a validity date.

Can you develop custom prints?

Yes, as a mill programme: custom print on AquaForm™ is typically 500–1300 m+ per colour, quoted separately, and adds roughly 15–20 days before garment production.

Can a third party inspect swim before shipment?

Yes. SGS, QIMA, BV or your own inspector are welcome; the 70% balance is paid after final inspection.
