Opacity is a finished-garment claim. Agree lighting, colour and wash cycles before you print “squat-proof” on hangtags.
What “squat-proof” should mean on a PO
Define the test: squat depth, lighting (daylight / store LED), camera vs eye, and whether approval is pre- or post-wash. Vague marketing language creates QC disputes.
Fabric levers
PowerForm™-class nylon/spandex bases in the ~215 gsm band are common starting points. Below ~240 gsm on lighter colours, treat opacity as a development priority.
